HOW LONG IS A ROWING BOAT?

Modern rowing boats are made from composite materials such as carbon fibre and kevlar. They are extremely narrow and long to maximise speed.

There are many types of boat, from the single, the smallest, to the eight. With eight rowers and a coxswain, it is the biggest, longest and fastest boat, with a top-speed of almost 18 mph.
